Nearly all offshore energy sector contractors will be required to hold Public and Employers Liability insurance as a stipulation of their contracts.
The offshore working environment is highly specialised and, consequentially, many insurers charge incredibly high premiums. £5million Public Liability policies are offered as standard for those operating offshore in the energy sector, with the option to increase to £10million. Please refer to your contract and assess your risk before purchasing. Qdos energy sector liability policies also include liability assumed hold harmless agreements and will waive subrogation rights as standard.
